If I had money saved up and was looking for a good car I would definitely use this app, I like the interface and its quite fluid. :)
I just recently was in the market to buy a newer car, because i wanted bluetooth and the newest technology. Ive always used Craigslist in the past and had to do all my own research and vetting. I came across Instamotor and they offer all the vehicle history report for free. people can create profiles to see the sellers that theyre dealing with its Pretty easy to use and I felt safer. The cars I was looking at all had clean titles. An honest company that delivers what it says!!

I havent bought from this app yet but I very likely will in the near future. The cars listed are all the typical "used cars" Im looking for minus the "project cars" and scammy listings typical of craigslist
Its pretty amazing never heard of this app but the feature are really good
Some bad moments
Pros:
- Great idea and easy to use. Register, take pictures, submit some info, and post your car.
- Free
- Background check on the car is very consistent with CarFax
- As long as youre in the service area, you should have a specific audience inquiring about the car.
Cons:
- Inconsistent UI. One page has a back arrow in top. One has an "x" at the bottom. One has "Done". All to go back to a previous page. This is annoying.
- Received text inquiries with "packaged" messages. Cant tell if theres a real person on the other side. I responded back to texts only to not receive a text back. Gets me to think its not a real person but rather a "bot." No proof on this but odd pattern of no responses.
- Cannot remove listing. This is the main reason for a 1-star rating. I took the car off the market. It took five times for the app to "delete" my listing. That is, remove it from what I can see on my UI. I deleted it first, received confirmation, and then went back in only to see the listing there still. Did this 4 times. The fifth time, it finally disappeared from my listing. One week later (today in fact), I receive a text message inquiring about my listing. I check the app log, and it shows someone favorites my listing and sent a text message today. I checked and saw the listing shows in my profile still. Attempted to delete it, to no avail.
I cannot trust this app or service given how inconsistent it is functioning. Obviously cannot trust the "delete" function to work appropriately. Who knows what else its keeping and using without your knowing. The car is probably kept in the listings to keep people coming back and searching. Maybe its now a lead generation tool. Either way, I do NOT trust this.
They waist 24 hours of my time verifying the Plate and VIN number. I sent them the Vin number and registration and still pending! What a waist of time! Use Craigslist and Close 5 and the are absolutely the best!
Tried selling 2 cars on this app. App usability and service is good. But I was never approached by any real buyer. Only pre sellers approached. Really disappointed on that part. They seemingly have a very small user base.
I dont like how it makes it seem like your post isnt approved. It should allow you to add other photos other than the listed ones. Like if I didnt take pictures of the tires but I have a picture of the door panels etc, we should be able to upload additional photos. Also I dont like the fact that it makes it seem like you cant post your post? Its so weird I have a hard time figuring this app out. I cant find my post anywhere even when I search my vehicle that Ive listed it doesnt even come up. So the app has potential but its confusing.

Couldnt add any details about me car that Im trying to sell. Leaves you feeling that your ad is incomplete. Then waiting for pending approval i get a text not identifying who they are asking me for the VIN number to which I had already entered. I could have entered it incorrectly but the text had no identifying featuresthat told me anything except asking for info. I dont like this app at all.
